An ongoing Work in Progress

This site was created as a work in progress to replace my old web-site www.middlea.freeserve.co.uk which disappeared into the aether in July 2016 when EE withdrew their support.  Bits which were still relevant (software, essays, family history, etc.) were going to find their way onto this site eventually, but somehow that has never happened!  Do contact me if you are looking for something that you expected to be there!
